Do I only get to drink juices, shakes and smoothies?
No way, Jose’! Of course, I’m throwing in some yummy liquids and “mixed drinks” for fun but never fear, you can still choose to safely eliminate toxins by opting for soups, salads, and even desserts that are deliciously nutritious.
Will I be ravenous? Wait, who says ravenous? You mean hungry?
Nope! This program is not about deprivation! In fact, you’ll find delicious recipes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with the possibility for snacks. A pro chef has tastefully whipped up all the meals. This program is about nourishing you not starving you. Let’s not obsess about calorie or carb counts. Let’s get centered and focused enjoying healthy food.
Is this Paleo-friendly?
Yes. It is primarily whole food and plant based and easily adapted to Paleo.
Can I workout during this detox program?
Absolutely! Exercise is an accelerator for getting your detox on! Working out even just walking restores both strength and energy. This program contains protein and drinking plenty of liquids, so if you’re already exercising, you have no reason to pause. Remember, whenever you change the foods you eat your body changes as well. Please consult with your doctor if you have any specific concerns about your health.
What kind of Protein will I be eating?
Solely, armadillo and opossum. I’m kidding. I love choices. And, you have plant or animal-based protein options. These options are listed out for you in your recipes. You won’t get burnt out from the same thing, there are lots of healthy protein sources to choose.
What if I’m nursing or pregnant or could be pregnant?
If you are nursing, I suggest that you add at least 4-6 ounces of protein at lunch and dinner, boost your morning smoothie with a scoop of hemp hearts or pea protein. Eat snacks in between meals. Consume extra fat and drink plenty of liquids. This program doesn’t include any detox-provoking agents. Again, if you have any health concerns, please consult with your doctor prior to starting this program.
Will doing this detox make me feel puny or wimpy?
I think not! You’re going to feel as strong as an ox! Maybe stronger. You’re energy levels will increase. In the beginning, you may experience a “healing phase” to re-balance as it releases toxins. Throughout the program, listen to your body. I’m here to help support and guide you through any unwanted symptoms that may possibly happen.
What if I’m already gluten free or dairy free? Can this program still help?
Regardless of our current eating habits, changing up the foods we eat gives our digestive tract a lovely holiday. If you are already a “clean” eater, you still have room to take your healthy habits to another level while eliminating toxic build up.
Can I experience any side-effects?
Let’s keep in mind each one of us comes to the program at a different health level. It’s possible you’ll feel fabulously energized or light-headed or tired as the body does it’s thing letting go of toxins. Be confident that you’ll have access to the tools you need to keep unwanted symptoms at bay.
